Setting server's retention to a range of XX-YY

Post by semel »

Is it possible?

I have a free server as a backup and a blocknews account(paid)

Free server's retention is 400 days
Is it possible to set blocknews server's retention to 400-1300 days, for instance

If not, i think making it available in the next version would be good

Cheers

What you should do is make the free server primary
and blocknews the backup.
You should also set a proper retention time for the free server
and none for blocknews.
Also you should set the free server as optional, so that is is ignored
when it's offline (which often happens with free servers).

Yes, assuming that astranews is not a per-GB account.
Set a retention time only for the free server.
