Second download does not start

Hi,
I'm having a problem with sabnzbd. When i download an nzb, sabnzb adds it to the queue, the download starts, is checked and extracted ok. So far so good. However, when I download another nzb, it's added to the queue, but the download doesn't start unless I quit sabnzb and restart it. This seems to happen every time. The issue is not specific for the version I'm running now (0.4.2). This also occured in 0.3.4.
Any ideas?
Version: SABnzbd-0.4.2
OS: Windows Vista
Install-type: Windows zip
Skin: Plush
Firewall Software: Vista Firewall
Using IPV6: No
Is the issue reproducible: Yes

Yes, I know that. What i mean is that when this first download is complete and then download another nzb, it is added to the queue but does not start to download.
Thanks for your quick reply.

Yes, i have tried that. When the second nzb is added to queue, i think it says "unknown" somewhere in the queue. (I cant really remember what is said; It is actually my brothers pc, which i don't have access to right now).
There is enough disk space, and the nzbs are valid. I will check the logs and connections page as soon as i can and try pause/unpause.
thanks

The second, non-working download does shows 3 connections (max for that server) on the connection page. The connections don't refresh on that page (also not when refreshing the page manually).
Pause/unpause has no effect.
In the queue it says "94 MB 94 left, 0:00:00 left, unknown"
And while I was writing the above, the downloads startsĀ

, about ten minutes after it was added to queue. Here is a part of the logfile (from the end of first download to start of second download):

Is it a server problem? If I restart sabnzbd, the download starts instantly. Strange...
Edit:
By the way, I'm downloading from the same server (on OSX) and don't experience this issue.

Could be a server error, it is hard to pin-point really as the server does not respond with any error messages, it just doesn't respond at all.
Since this also happened in 0.3.4 it rules out any recent changes, I'll have to have a think about what the issue could be.

Could the "Disconnect on empty queue" switch be relevant here? The switch was available in 0.3.4 but i can't find it in 0.4.2.
Kind of stupid, but i never tried to change this switch when i was on version 0.3.4 and i can't remember if it was on or off.

"Disconnect on empty queue" has nothing to do with it.
The queue is not empty, so there will be no disconnect.
Such a disconnect would show up in the logging.

The queue is empty between the first complete download and the second. It happens when I download another nzb after the first download is complete and there is nothing left in the queue. When adding an nzb to the queue while a download is in progress, that nzb is handled ok and the download will start after the current download is finished.
EDIT:
Does the switch "disconnect on empty queue" still exist?

No, it became the default action in 0.4.0 (in on of the betas or RC's).
You could try 0.3.4 again if you wish and see if the problem is resolved when "disconnect on empty queue" is unchecked.
