[Mac] Unable to launch SABnzbd since OS re-install

Version: 0.6.10
OS: OSX 10.5.8
Install-type: OSx .app
Skin: Not applicable
Firewall Software: None
Are you using IPV6? No
Is the issue reproducible? Yes
Background: My Father had issues with his MacBook. He took it to the Apple Store and one of the guy's working there was able to re-install the OS for him. I've mentioned this as I've noticed another few folk having issues after using "Time Machine".
Problem: Since this re-install I've been unable to successfully launch SABnzbd. I can download the ".app" file and move it to "Applications", however when I try to launch SABnzbd I'm treated with the usual notice advising that this application was downloaded from the internet, I press "Open" and nothing appears to happen. No wizard is launched, also when cycling through open applications, it doesn't show. I've placed the application in the trash numerous times and downloaded and installed the application again to no avail.
Additional Information: For similar issues which have previously been raised I have noticed that the removal of the program's ".ini" file has been advisable, but I don't have a "SABnzbd" folder within "/Users/[user]/Library/Application Support/".
I've checked the FAQ as well as having a look through problems posted by others, but none seem to replicate the issue I have
