DL Speed problem (drop connections) when Dl Dir is on an net

Post by kukurice »

Hi.

i have a issuue with sabnzbd 0.6.8 or 0.6.9 about download speed, if the download Dir is on a network share. (net use z: \\www.xxx.yyy.zzz\sabnzbd)
The connection to news server is droped. After a few seconds the connection are established again.
The shown download speed is very variable. 2MB/s to 8 MB/s

When i configure sabnzbd to a local Folder i have a speed stable 8.3MB/s !

Is not a networkproblem or a machine problem. I have testes different shares (other Servers) and different SABNZBD machines.

If i have a sabnznd with a DL Dir on a ISCSI Volume, i have the full speed.

have anyone a idea ?

I assume downloading and access to the external share use the same network connection.
Makes sense that these compete for bandwidth.
Especially if you work without an article cache in Config->General.
