Download foler and watched folder

Can anyone tell me if it is possible to have my download folder on one computer and to have my watched folder on another . the first being by ubuntu media server and the other being a windows laptop. Your help is much appreciated!!

In principle, yes. That is, if you know how to setup a share on the laptop
and are able to mount that on the Ubuntu server.
However, it's not exactly a convenient method.
It would be more convenient, I think, to setup a share on Ubuntu and
let the laptop write to it.
