sabnzbd for Mac (0.4.0 - latest) SLOW!

Hey I've noticed that the latest version has some major problems downloading from giganews. I have tested very aspect of my connection, routing, and software and have determined the problem is in fact sabnzbd. My usual download speeds average around 5-6MB/sec, but with this new version I am lucky if I can get 600KB/sec and it seems like the connection keeps resetting. It's very sporadic.
Has anyone else noticed this? Hopefully it is a moot point once 0.4.2 is released for OSX (which is supposedly happening today?)
