In the last 3 days I have been getting this same error message after downloading - on so far 6 out of 7 downloads:

» Repair failed, not enough repair blocks (1783 short)

Each time it is identical - 1783 short. This would indicate that there is something wrong with my setup, as opposed to something wrong with the files I am trying to download.

It has been working perfectly up till now, and as far as I know, I haven't changed anything.

Using v 0.6.9 on a Mac

Advice would be greatly appreciated.

Did you check the content of the ~/Download/incomplete folder?
Does the job folder of each NZB contain the files you expect?

It looks like evrything is there. Mostly .rar files, and some .par2 files and a few other types. I'm actually not sure what I am supposed to be looking for. All the .rar files are there sequentially from 01 to 49 for example.

This problem has only started occurring in the last week - prior to that I had no problems of this nature.

Check if all files listed in the NZB are present and that their sizes make sense.
You may need to check on the indexer site where you got the NZB.
Without clear clues pointing to a problem in SABnzbd itself, we don't investigate this kind of case.
In 99.9% of the cases it's a problem with either the NZB, the post or the Usenet provider.

Is there anything from the logfiles, list of files downloaded, etc that I could send you to check if it looks ok, as to me it all looks fine. All the .rar files are the same size - 15Mb.

Are the RAR segment files complete, i.e. are there any numbers missing?
Are all RAR files of equal size? (Except the last one which is always smaller.)
How many PAR2 files are present?
Does the history entry of the NZB say if any articles are missing? (Click on the title).

- I have confirmed that all files per the list are there.
- File sizes look correct.
- There are 8 .par2 files (corerct per the File List)
- In addition there is a nzb.gz file - 55kb and a SABnzbd_attrib file of 39 bytes in size.

- History does not say anything about missing files, but repeates the message: Repair failed, not enough repair blocks (1783 short)

I am trying to download the file on my PC instead of the Mac to see if it makes any difference.

As mentioned, this error has not happened before today - and now happened 6 out of 7 consecutive downloads of movie files. One worked fine, the rest gave the identical error message.

Please email one of the NZB files.
Some posters use very deranged ways of organizing their posts and sometimes
SABnzbd gets confused by this.
If so, then its very likely that you hit on a serie of NZBs by the same poster.

Sorry - excuse the ignorance .. how do I attach the nzb files? Can't find an option to attach a file.

Depends on what kind of email program you use.
So email, not PM or attach to a post on this forum.
Alternatively, for a site like nzbmatrix.com you can just email the URL of the report.

What is your email address?

Please can you give me an email address to send these files to you on - I cannot see a way to attach them using this platform.

It is like I expected: you're doubly screwed.
First of all the poster is a fool, because he split the rar files after creating the par2 files.
We are working on a solution for this for the next major release.
Second, the poster is a conman who uploaded an encrypted post and wants you to visit some dubious site to get the password.

My advice: remove the jobs and look for non-encrypted alternatives.
Should you want to fix up what you downloaded, you're in for some tricky work from the Apple's Terminal program.
