sabnzbd slows down my connection when I download

I was wondering if anyone knew the reason why my internet connection drops to nothing (in terms of speed), while my download speed is hitting 6.3MB/s. I have a 50MB(DL)/10MB(UL) via Comcast Business, and this just recently happened with the release of 0.6.8, but I am using 0.6.9 now.

Because SABnzbd is filling up your downstream connection to the max. Rember: SAB tells it's speed in MB/s, whereas your ISP tells it in Mb/s (small b, thus bits), and there is a factor 8-10 between them. So 6.3 MB/s is about the same as 50 Mbps.

You can limit the downloadspeed of SABnzbd in http://localhost:8080/config/general/ under Download Speed Limit.
