US Server, EU threads?

Is the issue reproducible? seems to be...

Hello, I noticed my download speeds have slowed recently. I was experimenting between US and EU servers on my provider.

Now, when I click on the Warnings, the US server is listed at the top, but all the threads are prefaced by EU. I'm trying to rule out if this is normal functionality (i.e. the NZB is hosted in Europe maybe?) or if it's the cause of my slowdown.

Thanks!

Don't be fooled by server names. Each article identifier contains the name of the server that the poster used.
So something like "974yrhfy45fg9y98y596hf3489y69@astraweb.com" even when you are using GigaNews.
Look only at the headers above the lists of articles/threads.

Thanks for the info, that's good to know.

It's frustrating, but I figured out the source of my slow downs. I use Thundernews (which in turn uses Astraweb)... I used an Astraweb provider last night, and speeds jumped back up to normal. When I go back to Thundernews, they drop to 300kb/s. Thundernews support says everything is a-ok with my account. Can't figure this one out.

Do you use enough "connections" for Thundernews?

I have 50 available to me, which I use. It's normally a great speed, I'm not sure what has happened to cause it to slow down.

50 connections are likely to incur more overhead than actual gains.
Scale down until you see an optimal speed.
