First time user - login not working
Posted: August 24th, 2011, 3:49 pm
Hi there,
First time usenetter, first time sabnzbd, and a computer noob.
My problem is when I run sabnzbd I get asked for a user and password, specifically it says
A user name and password are being requested by https://localhost:9090. The site says: "SABnzbd".
But the user name and pass I put don't work. I also tried my giganews user and pass and they don't work either, nor does leaving it blank, nor does admin/admin. I looked in the sabnzbd.ini file and there are 4 password= something lines, 2 blank and 1 each for my sabnzbd and giganews passwords, same for usernames. As I said, I'd tried all and they don't work. Not sure what to do.
Do i need to to excessive configuration of the .ini file as suggested here?
http://www.slideshare.net/dnthomps/news ... of-sabnzbd
The standard stuff:
Version: Newest one (downloaded today)
OS:Windows Vista
Install-type: um... whatever the default was?
Skin (if applicable): ?
Firewall Software: Windows firewall, I also have webroot Antivirus and my Bthomehub has a firewall in it... I assume!
Are you using IPV6? No i think..?
Is the issue reproducible? Yes, everytime.
Like I said... bit of a computer noob.
Please help
Thanks
