How do I get vista security to recognize my third part firewall? I was trying to arrange for two-way firewall protection in windows. I follow the steps in PCWorld march magazine. Once I change my setting, windows firewall block everything.I had to disable windows firewall in order to use a third-party firewall.It works fine, now when I check my firewall security, windsow does not detect it.

General consensus is that you should not try to run two firewalls.
It's useless and can lead to interference between the two.
The Window Security centre recognizes a limited amount of third-party firewalls.
You just have to tell it that you have one and that it should stop complaining.
