New Internet Service, Can no longer user SAB, Failed Login now

I had a change to my internet service and have a different router/firewall combo device. I had to move our office server home and get a static ip address which is the reason for the changes that are causing my problem. I use newsgroupdirect for my usenet service. I uninstalled the SAB version I was using and installed the 0.6.5 version. I removed the server setup that wasn't working and reentered all of the info following the faq on ngd. I was using the SSL with port 563 when everything was working. I didn't have a firewall previously so I assumed that I would just need to open the port on the firewall which I think I did correctly. I'm stuck. The error I get from SAB is Error failed login for server news-ssl.newsgroupdirect.com:563 Any suggestions as to why I am having this problem?
Edit: Sorry! I should have looked further before posting. I found the "read me first" about firewalls: Outgoing:
DNS traffic: during startup it may communicate with an external DNS server to find out network information.
It communicates with external Usenet servers (obviously!) (port 119 and maybe others).
It may communicate with NZB sites (port 80 and 443).
It may try to send email (port 25, 587 or others).
It may access sourceforge.net to check for the latest release (port 80)
I will try to open these up and see if it changes things.
