Downloads Failing 90% of the time

Version: 0.6.2
OS: Windows 7
Install-type: Windows Installer
Firewall Software: None
Are you using IPV6? no
Is the issue reproducible? yes (in the sense that if I manually upload the nzb I get the same error every time

I have consistent issues (about 90% of the time) with downloads failing. I see the errors like "37 articles missing, 2 non-matching duplicates".

I've also attached my log file. I had a bunch of files fail just before I generated it. I don't really know what I'm looking at but I see a bunch of mentions of duplicate articles. Also I notice a lot of references to eu.news.astraweb.org which I find weird. I am using supernews and I did buy 5 gigs from Giganews just to see if switching newservers would provide better results. It didn't. I have used astraweb in the past but and I had the same troubles with missing articles/failed downloads

The nzb files are coming from both sickbeard and couch potato. I have also tried manually adding the nzb files and I get the same errors. They are recent movies and TV shows, under about 30 days old.

I have successfully downloaded all these files in other download software.

Any thoughts/suggestions?

Do the NZB files contain any par2 files?
These are needed to compensate for missing articles.

Yes, they all have par2 files. They all come from either nzbmatrix or newzbin by way of sickbeard. I had the exact same setup working just fine under ubuntu by following ainer's guides to sickbeard and sabnzbd found here

http://www.ainer.org/sabnzbd-install-se ... lucid-lynx

I was having too many audio video remote issues with ubuntu so I switched to Windows 7. I used ainer's guides again to get it all set up by obviously had to figure some stuff out on my own in Windows. All in all basically the same thing other than the initial installation guide.

In ubuntu I had to install some software to do the par2 repairs via multi-core. In Windows I read that sabnzbd could do all the par2 and unraring itself so I didn't install any extra software. I did try installing winrar to see if that helped but it didn't.

Do I need any additional software to use the par2 files in Windows or does sabnzbd do that itself?

SABnzbd for Windows comes with par2-classic and a multi-core version.
The latter doesn't work reliable on a small minority of systems.
There is an option in Config->Switches, called "Enable MultiCore Par2".
Try with this one "off".

OK, I did some more research and I'm just hoping someone here may be able to help or point me in a good direction. I downloaded Grabit and 4 nzbs. Two from Newzbin and two from nzbmatrix. I downloaded all four files with Grabit and with sabnzbd. The two nzbs from nzbmatrix both failed on both programs. The repair failed, siting 37 missing articles each. It always seems to be 37 missing articles, sometimes it says 2 duplicate articles, sometimes no, in this case neither of them had duplicate articles.

So I'm going to stop using nzbmatrix for now, as a work around. But I'm still puzzled as to why this happens with all my nzbs from nzbmatrix. Anyone have any ideas? I didn't have this issue under ubuntu but since switching to Windows nzbmatrix doesn't work.

Thanks

Switching from Ubuntu to Windows while using nzbmatrix makes no difference.
Have you looked in the nzbmatrix forum lately? It's not encouraging.
