Noob having problems

Everything was working.  Now it's not.  Using NZBMatrix still finds material for me, but clicking on the Icon to send it to sabnzbd doesn't.  The icon turns green, but nothing arrives and sabnzbd reports its status as "Idle."

I am using 0.6.2 on Ubuntu.

I'm not sure where to look next, so directions are welcome.

Are you using a plugin , so that there is an icon on nzbmatrix.  (maybe nzbstatus / nzbconnect++)

If so .. check the settings of the plugin ... like ports  / IP & pw

Also, check the log for errors (it's under status). Are you a VIP user un NZBMatrix? I believe (and correct me if I'm wrong here) that if you don't have a VIP account then you're not allowed to access their servers through the API with a 3rd party software...so SAB receives the order to get the nzb, but does not have access to NZBMatriz to download it correctly?

Thank you for your suggestions.  I am a VIP member.  I am using NZBmatrix.  I have checked and:
- all PW info is correct
- all api key info is correct
And, as noted earlier, everything was working:  I would identify an item in nzbmatrix, hit the icon (which turned green) and the download would start in SABnzd+.  Flawless performance.
Then, some Ubuntu updates, which I believe have broken whatever links I had to localhost, which I fear is not starting.  (I no longer get the request for keyring PW, for example.)  But I cannot understand how to get that system to start and all pages discussing the problem are Greek.  (Or Greek financial...)
I am at the outer edges of my knowledge here and the frustration is fierce!
I am using the next-most recent version of Ubuntu (NOWHERE can I find a statement of what I am running!!!) and things did work before.

Assistance is most welcome.

It's a problem with the Firefox add-on.
The functionality is not in SABnzbd.

One easy option is to bookmark entries in nzbmatrix.com.
Then setup an RSS feed for the bookmarks.
SABnzbd will periodically (on on demand) read the feed,
download the NZBs and after a successful download remove the bookmark.
