Feature Request:
In the previous version on sabnzbd 0.5.6, there was an option to preview which used to show you the results against you RSS feed and indicating against each match with a * whether it was downloaded or not, With 0.6.0 we only have read feed and it will not display any matches that have already need pulled. This can cause a problem were if you are testing there is no way to see if your feed is working until new items are in your RSS feed and this could be the next day.


We were also able to view the preview from a separate URL. i.e with a bookmark we could connect directly to the preview page, and with out listing all the filters on the page, making it cleaner. Has this been removed or the URL been changed
e.g. http://localhost:8080/sabnzbd/config/rs ... xxxxxxxxxx

The 0.6.0 preview will show all jobs currently in the feed.
0.5.6 could show cached jobs which are no longer in the feed,
leading to confusion because they cannot be downloaded any more.
Neither 0.5.6 nor 0.6.0 allow matches against already downloaded entries.

There is no preview in 0.6.0, only matched and not matched, I understand that that if it's been matched it will download and should not appear there, but in the previous version we have a preview which would show you anything in the current feed regardless of matched or no matches.

Matched now become point less as you will only ever see something in there if it was uploaded in the last 15mins, anything beyond that will either end up in not matched or downloaded.

What we are say is that in the previous version we could form a single page see everything in the current RSS FEED and then against that what was matched and what was not and what has been downloaded, which to me would seem far more useable.

Is there any thought to re-adding the preview?

It used to be how i decided what to get.  Only certain stuff was scheduled, and everything else I'd choose off the rss feeds.

THE PREVIEW IS STILL PRESENT!!!
Each time you enter the feed page or change a filter, you get a preview of what's in the feed.
The difference with 0.5.6 is that the feed is not read out for every action any more.
For that you need click the "Read Feed" button.
So in 0.5.6 you click "Preview" and in 0.6.0 you click "Read Feed".

Would it be possiblee to add a read feed button to the rss feed listing page?  (it may be there already and I missed inas I was looking for "preview") as if I got this right the sequence is now, rss page. Click on a specific feed, then click on read feed to view contents.

Where it would be nice to read the feed from the main rss page.

There's not much use of a "read feed" button there,
because that's not where the results are shown.
The idea is not that you frequently visit the RSS feed pages,
but to automate things. The preview is just for debugging your filters.

hmm, but it worked so well for that.  Everything was consolidated to one place (of the feeds I cared about) and it wasn't overwhelming in the amount of new items.

I think because it was integrated with the download button , and the categories, made it so useful.  Any external RSS reader, you have to download the file, or use the nzbs.org my bookmarks, or nzbmatrix bookmarks, and then you lose the item category.
