I am running sabnzbd on Mac OSX. Downloading and processing are working. Last night, when I started a download of about 15GB, there was over 25GB of free space on my hard drive. After processing, the 15GB should be reduced to 13-14GB. So, I should still have about 10GB of free space, but instead, I have less than 4GB free. I did not change very much in the configuration and my understanding was that the temp files (rar, par, etc.) would be deleted. The 'incomplete' directory is empty, as it should be.
Where has my free space gone? Are the temp files really deleted?
Where has my free space gone?

Re: Where has my free space gone?
Do you use the +Delete post processing setting?
Which release do you run?
If 0.5.6, then check the content of:
~/Library/Application Support/SABnzbd/cache

2. 060
3. that directory does not seem to exist in this version.
Thanks.
Re: Where has my free space gone?
I 0.6.0 there are only two places where any (significant) disk storage is used.
In "incomplete" and "complete".
Check "incomplete", maybe somehow SABnzbd failed to delete the original downloaded files.
If there's no unexpected data in either, the disk usage is not caused by SABnzbd.

Re: Where has my free space gone?
I had checked 'incomplete' first because it was the most likely suspect. No, it is empty.
For further information, this morning (after my first post) I downloaded another file of the same size (about 5GB or 4.5GB after processing). When the download started, the hard drive had a bit more than 11GB free. During the download, while looking through my HD to find a large file, I found an old 3GB file I no longer needed, so I deleted it. That gave my HD 14GB free. The download has finished and there is a little over 8GB free on the HD. I calculate there should be about 9GB free, but that is better than last time (although last time it was three files).
Perhaps I have found the problem: Spotlight is indexing my HD. Could it be writing large temp files somewhere? Since I started writing this message, almost one GB of free space has disappeared.

Re: Where has my free space gone?
I'm not an OSX expert, so I cannot tell you what Spotlight does.
Outside incomplete/complete there's the administrative data.
Which is max 5M for logging and a few M for other stuff, mostly the history database.

Re: Where has my free space gone?
OK, thanks anyway for your help.
