Where is my download?

I downloaded a 12 gig file, & at the end it said it failed verification & there are no files in the COMPLETE or INCOMPLETE folders - looks like they were downloaded & then deleted because of supposed verification failure? This is pretty annoying. Can someone fix this bug as it's annoying to lose all that download due to poor programming.
Can anyone offer any advice to prevent things like this happening in the future? Perhaps recommend another download client that works better?
thanks

SABnzbd deletes nothing when verification fails.
Are you sure you're looking in the right folders?
Check the logging for some clues about where files were stored.
BTW: which release do you use?

I use release 0.5.5
I checked all the folders - nothing there.
The log file is very long, here's a small sample of it;

Isn't "Disk error on creating file" a clue?
Is your disk full?
Do you have any access right problems?
I admit that SABnzbd doesn't handle this situation very well.
It would be better if it paused the downloading on such errors.
Let's say, next release.
BTW: isn't your warning page full of these messages?

There is more than 1 terabyte free space on my drive so that's not the issue. Usually in failed verifications it doesn't delete the files downloaded, but it has on a few occasions - both times the files were huge (12 gig, 6 gig etc). Anyone have any clue why this would happen?

I don't know what happens, only that the operating system doesn't allow SABnzbd to create the required files.
It doesn't delete files, it never creates them.

How can it not create them if it downloaded 12 gig of data? Where did 12 gig of download go?

It went nowhere.
That's the design weakness I wrote about.
When SABnzbd cannot write the file, it registers an error message
and just continues as if nothing happened.

I tried using NewsBin Pro & it downloaded just fine - went back & also got the other 6 gig file & that worked too!
