I'm a long time user of AltBinz and am just switching over because it got too bulky for my taste. So far I'm really liking this program which name I can't pronounce, but am wondering if it would be possible to consider a few features I am kind of missing from AltBinz.

1) The ability to set the unrar, or postprocess, location per NZB. I understand this can be done via categories, but it seems like a bit of a clunky way to do it if I just to want download one NZB into a different location.

2) If I download an NZB with multiple RAR sets, with par2 files, SABNZBd will still consider it an single queue item and will only postprocess after all files have finished. The way AltBinz (and I apologize for constantly referring to it, curse that program, I spit on thee!) did it was to monitor the progress of each RAR set throught the par2-files and after that set was complete, it would unrar it and continue with the rest. So if I download 50 gigs of, let's call it porn, I don't want to have to wait a day to get to watch the, uh, porn. Of course I could manually unrar it from the temp folder, but I'm an educated person, I shouldn't have to perform such menial tasks goddammit!

Just curious: what makes AltBinz bulky?
SABnzbd has a rather bizarre range of features and is considered to be a bit too memory and CPU hungry
by a sizeable minority.

1)
Given that SABnzbd is an automation tool (ideally you never see its UI) we don't invest
that much in interactive features. We're also constantly worried about how to add it to the UI
without making it a complete nightmare.

2)
Auto-split has been on the todo list for a quite some time.
One day, one day...
I agree that it's needed.
BTW there's some disagreement among users about splitting at queue time or at post-processing time.
Full-season downloaders seem to be the most dominant group and they would benefit from queue-time split.

What you describe is early post-processing, which is quite complex to do (given the program's design).

1) I can dig that. I figured the NZB properties page (you get when you click it in the queue) could have a field where you could override the default location.

2) I would appreciate to see this in action one day and full seasons are definitely a big reason why. I'm pro-postprocessing time, would keep the queue tidier, but I don't tend to queue that much stuff up anyway so doesn't matter that much to me.

As to AltBinz, it generally uses 10-20%, right up to 40%, more CPU compared to SABNZBd so it gets noticiable if I'm trying to do anything on the computer while it's running.
