Placing files into Time Capsule's HD?

Post by aprofetto »

Hi everyone,

I am trying to unpack files into the path /Volumes/Data/Movies.  This path leads to a Movies folder on my Time Capsule's HD.  However when the file is unpacking, it runs into an error saying it cannot find the directory.  Any ideas?  The Time Capsule was mounted at the time of the failed attempt.

I'm running Mac OS X 10.6.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Which folder doesn't it find?
What's the exact error message?
Are access rights OK? Can you add files manually?

I think it just cannot find the path specified?  Sorry when I'm home I'll get the exact error message it gives.

I assume access rights are fine, I can add files to /Volumes/Data/Movies just fine in Finder.

I should clarify that this is happening with the harddrive inside of the Time Capsule, not an external one attached.  What is strange is that sickbeard also seems to have a problem finding the path above?  Am I not doing something I am supposed to do?  Is there a way to permanently mount a volume?

Thanks for the help.
