manually Browsing / Downloading more par2 files - Is there a better way?

I'm very new to Usenet, but I am having a blast.
However, manually browsing for more par2 files to fix broken downloads can be a very boring process. I guess there probably already is some script / automated way of doing it?
Thanks,
Effenberg

The trick is to find reliable sources for NZB files.
See our list of search engines and moderated indexers.
http://wiki.sabnzbd.org/nzb-sources
Also it helps to have a reliable Usenet provider (that's mostly the ones you need to pay for).

I see. My current setup is Giganews Diamond + Newzbin and Nzbmatrix, all paid. Of course most downloads simply work. But after a week the server is up, I have like 100 to 150 _FAILED_ directories to deal with.
Generally there's only couple par2 parts there, which are too few all the times (of course, otherwise Sab wouldn't have FAILED the download). Once I manually browse the server I can obviously find the release with much more par2 parts and fix the download. But it ends up taking like 3 to 5 minutes to fiz each broken download (browse, find, download, par2repair, unrar, etc).
So, what I don't get is why isn't Sab downloading enough par2 parts or if is there any other program / script I should be using to do that?

SAB will download all par2 files that are described in the NZB.
So one possibility is that your NZBs lack enough par2 files, and no other program will help you there.
The other is a bug in SABnzbd that prevent download par2 files that are in the NZB.
You can check this yourself, by comparing what is in the NZB and
what is actually downloaded.
Some side notes.
Giganews is receiving a lot of DMCA notices lately and what they do is erase so much
of the material that you can never complete the download.
Newzbin2 simply doesn't have the quality reports that the old newzbin had.
nzbmatrix is better, but not perfect either.
