Possible post-processing error: season directory removed, others OK. [solved]

Post by Norbertus »

Version: 0.5.6
OS: OSX Leopard AND Optware
Install-type: OSX .app / NAS package
Skin: Plush
Firewall Software: not relevant, it happens on 2 different systems on the local network, outside of firewall range.
Are you using IPV6? no
Is the issue reproducible? yes

Whenever I use SABnzbd+ to download an episode of certain tv series and let it be moved to the external drive where all TV episodes are stored, the entire season directory is deleted, losing the downloaded episode plus all previous ones. The NZB file appears to be OK, because when I try it again with the same file, using a different category (normally, I use TV), all looks to go well.

All switches are ON, except for "Enable Quick Check", "Launch Browser on Startup", "Send Group", "Sort by Age", "Replace Spaces in Foldername".

I do not have this problem with other tv programs. Could this be caused by the name "Out..."* ? It has happened thrice now!

(more info about the name on request  ;))

It has not happened to other downloads, and this glitch has now occurred thrice. Other things that come to mind are an error in the file name itself, the file size, or a UNIX related issue. Both systems use a UNIX variant to move the file to a different drive. How do I switch on extended logging and where can I find the results? Perhaps an error or warning could help here...

I use the TV sorting option, with:

Code: Select all

%sn/%sn - Season %s/%sn - %sx%0e - %en.%ext
Looking at it now, I notice that although it has worked well, the affected categories is empty. I'll change it to tv and will check what happens (tomorrow, download takes a couple of hours to test properly).

For compatibility with older versions, when you select no categories,
it's assumed that you want all categories to apply.

THERE SEEMS TO BE AN ISSUE WITH MY NAS!

The drive uses an unreliable buffer, causing files to become 'lost' while the allocation still exists. These ghost files are created when the OS renames or moves a file with certain attributes in the FAT. I need a bigger drive... (or at least a different one).
