I just installed 0.5.6. I am using AstraWeb. I have been using NewsBin. I have a FIOS connection with 47meg speeds when using Newsbin or speedtest.net. When I use sabnzbd I get at best 790KB/s with 12 connections to AstraWeb. I restarted the service and it's no better. I am using Win 7x64.

Hard to tell.
Any PC less than two years old should be able to max out the connection with ease
(providing the Usenet provider is fast enough).
Do you have any specific firewall software?

I seem to have the same problem with slow downloads since I installed the latest version. I have a W7 32-bit system. When I use the PC with SABNZBD+ installed to download it also affects my other PC's.
For example: Before i could download on one PC and play Battlefield 2 online on my notebook at the same time with acceptable pingrates and download speeds on both PC's. When I start downloading with SABNZBD now I can't play Battlefield2 online anymore because I get kicked off any gameserver for high pingrates! I have checked all network settings and it seems that the latest version of SABNZBD is the problem?

Hey, SABnzbd tries to max out your connection.
That's what it's supposed to do.
You can use the speedlimiter or tell your router to give NNTP traffic a lower priority.
