Hello there,

I was in the midst of setting up SABnzbd+ when I made the fatal error of accidentally pasting in my news server details in the box where you set the address the web interface appears in your browser. Now, whenever I start sabnzbd on my imac it gives me this message:

SABnzbd needs a free tcp/ip port for its internal web server.
Port 8080 on news-europe.giganews.com was tried , but it is not available.
Some other software uses the port or SABnzbd is already running.

Please restart SABnzbd with a different port number.

Open a Terminal window and type the line (example):
    /Applications/SABnzbd.app/Contents/MacOS/SABnzbd --server news-europe.giganews.com:8081

If you get this error message again, please try a different number.

Program did not start!

I have tried doing what it suggests, but it always just wants to go to the next port up.
I've done a bit of googling and some of you guys had suggested editing the .ini file. I've pasted the commands suggested into terminal and it tells me that the .ini file doesn't exist. I can't see it in finder and truth be told I'm a total novice with this stuff. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Remove the sabnzbd.ini file and start SABnzbd again.
