I using the windows version on Windows 7 64bit and I am unable to update from 0.5.4 to 0.5.6.  Each time i run the install program for 0.5.6,  it will run that version until i stop and start sabnzb again.  Once the program is restarted, it runs 0.5.4 (or at least that is what the software says and it has the link telling me an update is available).  When I check the properties of the exe file in the program files folder, it shows to be 0.5.6.  Does anyone know why it is doing this and have a fix?  I have become annoyed having to reinstall every time I reboot my pc and have just left it at 0.5.4 for now.  I have also tried to update to 0.5.5 and it has the same problem.  thanks.

Use the Windows Control Panel to uninstall SABnzbd.
Check the folder "c:\program files (x86)\SABnzbd" and make sure it's gone, other remove it manually.
After that use the Windows search function to look for SABnzbd.exe
If more exist, remove those too.
Then install the new version.

just tried that again. it still does the same thing.  it shows to be 0.5.6 after I launch from the install program.  shutting sabnzb down and restarting, it shows to be 0.5.4.  Thanks for the suggestion.

edit:
Just messed around with it some more.  if i "run as administrator", it starts up as 0.5.6.  if i just run it normally, it runs as 0.5.4.  I have just checked "run this program as an administer" in the properties, so it should not be an issue for me anymore.  not sure why it is doing this in the 1st place.  Thanks for a great program!
