A Question on RSS Checking Interval

Im talking about this :



if its set to 15, what does it mean ?

RSS is checked 15 times a minute OR once per 15 minutes ?

Doesn't "once per 15 minutes" strike you as the sensible answer?

15 minutes b/w 2 updates is too low for me  :-\ .

Any way to reduce that time ?  ;D
