After I upgraded from 0.5.4 to 0.5.5 sabnzbd haven't added a single nzb from inside a zip-file. If I extract it manually in the watched folder, they are added. And we are talking about zip-files from a well known nzb-provider, which worked in 0.5.4 and earlier. There's no events related to this under "warnings". And it seemed that upgrading to 0.5.6 didn't fix this.

Anyone else having this problem?

Version: 0.5.5, and also 0.5.6
OS: Win XP Pro SP3 Build 2600
Install-type: Windows Installer
Skin (if applicable): smpl
Firewall Software: no
Are you using IPV6?: doubt it
Is the issue reproducible?: maybe?

Which provider? How do you retrieve it exactly?

I just save the zip file with the nzb's in the watched folder like I used to.. It worked like a charm with all previous versions, but not with 0.5.5 and 0.5.6.. The same happens with nzb's inside a rar file.. They're untouched.. Is it something wrong with the rar/zip script maybe?

I have no idea, it works when I try it.
Can you check the log file for any information?
Set log level to Debug and then copy another ZIP file into the watched folder.

I assume you use the "Cart" feature?

Yeah, it's the "cart", yes..

I set the level to debug and expected to see some messages, but now it actually works. I used the same zip that didn't work before (which I extracted manually to the watched folder), but they were now added anyway even though they had already been downloaded before (and I have "prevent duplicate downloads" enabled)..

In fact, if I download the same zip to the watched folders twice, it's contents are now added to the queue twice, which gives multiple jobs with the exact same name.. :S

Duplicate detection works at the NZB level.
SABnzbd erases processed files from the watched folder  so a second copy will be seen as new.
Which is just as well, because the nzbs.org cart ZIP always has the same name,
if I remember correctly.
