New instance of SABnzbd with every NZB

Not sure what to do about this. I've tried everything I could find. Uninstalled, reinstalled, deleted the .ini, changed the watched folder, used the .cmd but nothing works. Ever since upgrading from 0.5.2 things have gone wonky. Every time a NZB is opened, a new process starts on a different port, sometimes with the NZB added twice (this is after using the Open instead of Save command from my browser).
Help?

So it looks like you associated .nzb with sabnzbd.exe ... am I right ?
If so .. then the right thing is happening , every nzb has a new instance of sabnzbd running.
What you need to do is :
* Save the nzb
* go to your webbrowser & open sabznbd webinterface
* Load the .nzb
Or use a watch folder and download the .nzb in there
When using Firefox , you can use a nice add-on : nzbStatus
After downloading you can choose to send the .nzb direct to sabnzbd+

Sending them directly via nzbStatus did the trick.
Thanks

I seem to be having the same problem.
I understand the given solution, and that works i suppose, but...
Being an IT engineer I would like to get it to work by opening the nzb file when downloading it. Just for the simple fact that this way I only need 1 mouse click to get the load the nzb in sabnzbd!
I suppose it has something to do with startup parameters, but need some help here.
Anyone?

When using the NZB file association, it's important that the
normal instance of SABnzbd was started with default parameters (which is no parameters).
Otherwise the new instance will not be able to find the existing one.
For 0.6.0 there will be a improved implementation.
