Hi I just downloaded Sabnzbd 0.5.4 for Windows and installed it on my Win 7 Prof 64-bit install. When I start the program I get the following error
"SABnzbd detected that the file sqlite3.dll is missing.

Some poorly designed virus-scanners remove this file.
Please check your virus-scanner, try to re-install SABnzbd and complain to your virus-scanner vendor.

Program did not start."

I checked and the Sqlite3.dll file is present in the /lib/ folder for Sabnzbd. My anti virus program is bitdefender and is also present on XP install and Sabnzbd works fine on the XP install. Any one know a fix for this?

I tried copying the Sqlite3.dll file to the windows/system32/ folder and that did nothing as well. Same error.

The error message is not completely accurate.
SABnzbd cannot start the sqlite support libraries and the most likely cause
is that sqlite3.dll is missing. There can be other reasons.
Try to install SABnzbd again, carefully check messages from your virus scanner.
Compare what is installed on XP with what is installed on your Win7 system.

Guess if anyone else is having this problem, the way I ended up solving it that I went to bitdefender console --> antivirus tab --> advanced settings --> and you add sabnzbd.exe and sabnzbd-console.exe to exceptions. After that all works well.

Hello i had the same problem yesterday when i installed sabnzbd 0.5.4 on a windows 7 pc with bitdefender 2010
i checked the sabnzbd/lib folder and sqlite.dll was there. i deactivated bitdefender and then sabnzbd worked fine
Finaly i solved the problem: i replaced the sqlite.dll with a version from sqlite.org

i read in the internet that virus scanners have trouble with files that are UPX compressed
(AVIRA Antivir seem to have the same problem) they block access on those files.

the sqlite.org version is without UPX compression and does not have any trouble.
maybe you can replace the distributed version into the one above.

Virus scanner developers are dangerous fools or at least they do
their best to look that way.
Sorry, I could not resist to vent a personal opinion.

I heard about this UPX allergy in the past, however I did not realize
that it can be an issue with DLLs also.
Our sqlite3.dll comes from the industry-standard ActiveState distribution,
so why would I even expect such a problem?
I'll look into this and possibly replace the sqlite3.dll file.

Just visit this site...this will help in case of missing or downloading dll's , also if dll's are corrupted or errors in dll's..!
I also registered few dll's from this site...worked in my case.

The latest releases of SABnzbd use the uncompressed official DLL from sqlite.org
