Error creating file

I don't know if this is related to this bug (Ampersands not correctly passed) and if I'm posting in the wrong forum, my apologies, but I get the following error when processing a file with a Ü or Ö in it:

Code: Select all

ERROR: Disk error on creating file /media/Downloads/Downloads/News/incomplete/ber/08 - Über.mp3
The folder is created, albeit without the offending character, (the "ber" in the Code above should have been "Über") but the folder is empty.

I'm using SABnzbd 0.5.4 on Linux Mint 9, 64 bit.

I tried some downloads with umlauts, and no problem at all my Ubuntu 10.04.

Your "/media/": is that an external drive? If so, can you download to your internal harddisk and check if that works ago with umlauts?

And: what's the python version of your system?

Thanks for your reply.

Python version 2.6.5-0ubuntu1.

/media/ is not an external drive, however it is "shared" with windows, file system type fuseblk (NTFS).
