Within part01.rar - part84.rar, part34.1 files mess up unpacking

Hello!
First of all, to the developers: Thank you for creating such a powerfull usenet client. It really is the best out there. So good job!
I'm using version 0.5.3 on Windows XP now and have found one problem: somehow, some additional parts of a download end up as 'filename.rar.1' and 'filename.rar.2'. The unpacking program then gives an error that says something similar to "'filename.rar.3' is missing", which indicates that it is looking for more files with the .2 extension, while there aren't.
errors:
[full file names go here] Unpacking failed, unable to find file.part51.rar.3
[file] Unpacking failed, unable to find file.part43.rar.3
[file] ERROR: Bad archive D:\Downloads\Incomplete\insert illegal shit here\file.rar.2
[file] Unpacking failed, write error or disk is full?
[file] Unpacking failed, unable to find file.part35.rar.3
[file] Unpacking failed, unable to find file.part34.rar.3
[file] Unpacking failed, unable to find file.part25.rar.3
[file] Unpacking failed, unable to find file.part26.rar.3
[file] Unpacking failed, unable to find file.part75.rar.2
[file] Unpacking failed, unable to find file.part39.rar.3
Obviously, there is only 1 bad file. When I replace it with a good one and remove all the .1 and .2 extension files, I can succesfully extract the file manually.
Is there anything I can do about it?
There is one more issue I think I have to tell you. I'm having strange errors with my hard drive, it often says the disk is full while its properties say otherwise. It might be the case that the partitioning went all wrong, as I tried to merge all of its partitions. Offtopic, but if you would happen to know a solution for that too, you are awesome ^^
