Within part01.rar - part84.rar, part34.1 files mess up unpacking

Hello!

First of all, to the developers: Thank you for creating such a powerfull usenet client. It really is the best out there. So good job!

I'm using version 0.5.3 on Windows XP now and have found one problem: somehow, some additional parts of a download end up as 'filename.rar.1' and 'filename.rar.2'. The unpacking program then gives an error that says something similar to "'filename.rar.3' is missing", which indicates that it is looking for more files with the .2 extension, while there aren't.

errors:

[full file names go here] Unpacking failed, unable to find file.part51.rar.3
[file] Unpacking failed, unable to find file.part43.rar.3
[file] ERROR: Bad archive D:\Downloads\Incomplete\insert illegal shit here\file.rar.2
[file] Unpacking failed, write error or disk is full?
[file] Unpacking failed, unable to find file.part35.rar.3
[file] Unpacking failed, unable to find file.part34.rar.3
[file] Unpacking failed, unable to find file.part25.rar.3
[file] Unpacking failed, unable to find file.part26.rar.3
[file] Unpacking failed, unable to find file.part75.rar.2
[file] Unpacking failed, unable to find file.part39.rar.3

Obviously, there is only 1 bad file. When I replace it with a good one and remove all the .1 and .2 extension files, I can succesfully extract the file manually.

Is there anything I can do about it?

There is one more issue I think I have to tell you. I'm having strange errors with my hard drive, it often says the disk is full while its properties say otherwise. It might be the case that the partitioning went all wrong, as I tried to merge all of its partitions. Offtopic, but if you would happen to know a solution for that too, you are awesome ^^

Possibly you have an NZB with duplicate (or triplicate) file entries.
Please email the NZB to bugs@sabnzbd.org with a reference to this thread.

Don't know about the "disk full" problem. SABnzbd just believes what the OS tells it.
Check write permissions of the folders involved.

I have no idea what happened.
It downloaded and unpacked fine here.
Did it do a repair in your case?

Yes it did (succesfully).

What happens when the repair tool can't overwrite a file - for whatever reason? Maybe it just names it filename.1

Yes it will.
Could this be caused by the other disk problems you mentioned?
Normally there wouldn't be an existing file to overwrite.
That only happens when there are duplicate entries in the NZB,
but there were none in this NZB.

Possibly... I formatted my drive and the problems seem to be gone, for now.

I don't get why there would not be an existing file to overwrite. The validation process needs a file to validate. When a file seems corrupt or bad, the file gets repaired or downloaded again, and should then be named as the existing file - removing the old one. This last part is probably not exactly how it goes, but this is the part where the issue must arise.

Again, I haven't had the issue since the formatting. I don't know how the repair process handles windows hard disk errors, but it seems a bit off.

Anyway, thank you for your time. I know where to find you if the problem occurs again :)
