i just went to my downloads folder and it's filled with all the original nzb files.
it's not a super huge deal, but is there anyway to have sabnzbd clean up those files when the dl starts or finishes?

If there are NZB files there, it's because your NZB files download NZB's too (quite a common problem with indexing sites).
There's an easy way to get rid of them by setting a cleanup filter in Config->General.

hmm...i added .nzb to the cleanup list, but they're still saving.
i think it's something to do with my browser?
i use nzbsrus and when i click the nzb file, i have the option to open with or save as...
i choose open with, but it's still saving the nzb file to my downloads folder (which is different from my completed folder)

SABnzbd will only delete files after processing, when you save the NZB
to the "Watched folder".
If you enter them manually using "Add NZB". they will not be deleted.

That's not a good idea.
SABnznd scans sub-folders for NZB files and will process them if a folder
is named after a category.
You can safely make a sub-folder in the downloads folder the "watched" one.
