Uninstalling

I'm using Mac Leopard 10.5.8. I've uninstalled SABnzdb 5.2 (using AppCleaner) but keep getting two folders ('complete' and 'incomplete') in my downloads folder. I've deleted the folder from Applications Support but clearly I'm still missing something. I'm new to Macs so I wondered if anyone could help please? Many thanks.

Have I explained myself badly or is everyone stumped? I'd really appreciate some help on this please.

If the folders keep coming back, then SABnzbd could still be running.
In which case the de-install didn't work.
Did you stop it before uninstalling? Most OS'ses won't let you uninstall running apps.
Does it autostart when you reboot?

Thanks for this. No it doesn't auto-start. There's no indication it's on my system at all apart from when I try to delete the two folders mentioned earlier. On Windows I suppose I'd dig around the Registry but I'm not sure where the secret places are on a Mac. Certainly deleting the Application Support folder for SABnzbd hasn't done the trick.

Most data files are here:
/home/user/Library/Application Support/SABnzbd/
If folders in there keep coming back, it an indication that SABnzbd is still active,
although I don't know how that is possible.
If it's only the two folders in Download, it must be some trick OSX plays.
