Cache contents necessary?

Post by hoodte »

I was just getting ready to backup my system when I noticed that there is a large quantity of data in the cache folder.  Since I have resolved any outstanding downloads I was wondering what useful benefit was gained by retaining the cache contents.  I would just as soon delete these files prior to backup to minimize the time and storage space required.  Is there any problem with deleting these files?

When your queue is empty you can remove all files starting with "SABnzbd_".
There can be considerable leakage in the cache folder
(especially when you often delete jobs after they started).
We will resolve that problem in the next major release.
