I have RR (the only broadband available where I live) .
They recently introduced a new feature called "PowerBoost" which basically means my download speeds get cut in half if I continuously download files.
After some testing I found that I could manually change the port for the newsgroup server in sab and my download speeds would remain high. After 5-10 seconds, the speeds would drop. I swap the port back (between 2 SSL provided ports from my newsgroup), and the speeds would bounce back up.
My question, does sab support alternating between two servers/ports to get around this new "feature" from my cable company?
Thanks! -DegreeThis

Re: Does SAB support alternating port numbers?
No, however, in the past we've discussed methods for Manipulating Powerboost. There's a patch that applied to trunk in December, but I can't guarantee it will still apply cleanly. Shouldn't be too hard to update, though.
