I encountered what must have been a bad NZB file, and what was supposed to be a 25gb file grew into 545gb over night. SABnzbd was constantly cranking out copies of the same files over and over again during post-process, for 8 hours. Not finding any "cancel" button, I simply deleted the NZB file along with the rars. So it's stopped, finally. But now in my History I have an entry sitting there with an error "Failed opening main archive (encrypted or damaged)". Obviously this is because I killed the source files, but I can't get rid of this entry. Purge doesn't work. How can I erase all evidence of this nightmare?
I'm running v0.5
Endless post-processing?

Re: Endless post-processing?
Alright, I had to restart several times, but now it let me purge it from the list. Problem solved!
For future reference, does anyone know if there is a proper way to kill a post-process in progress?

Re: Endless post-processing?
It's not easy to stop this issue easily.
Deleting or moving as many files as you can from the "complete" folder is best.
Good reminder for us to make the post-processing more interruptable.
Please email the NZB file to bugs at sabnzbd.org
We've seen some more complaints about unrar loops but have
never been able to reproduce such a problem.

Re: Endless post-processing?
Thanks for your reply!
In this case, moving the files from the Completed folder wouldn't help, but in generation yeah that is good advice.
This is the first time I've encountered anything like this, so I can understand why a feature to interrupt a post-process may be easily overlooked.

Re: Endless post-processing?
The strange thing that complaints began after we took measures
to prevent endless loops.
Got your email.
Cannot you people have problems with small downloads?
Jeeh, 25G.
I'll see what I can do.
