wizard - testserver gives 'NoneType' object is unsubscriptable

hi all

I am trying to setup sabnzbd for the first time on a new synology ds209.

when following the wizard I end up with an error when trying to test the server.

I've tried a few time to just continue the setup, and it does complete, but when I then try to access sabnzb I just get the wizard again.

I haven't been able to access sabnzb at all apart from the wizard.

I've tried restarting both the program, and the synology.

I have installed sabnzb on another disk on the same synology, without problems, but now.. I can't :(

My only idea is that it is somehow not saving the config..

but where can I check this?

I've telnetted to the unit, but haven't been able to find the config file anywhere..

You need to find out how SABnzbd is started.
Check with the site were you got the package from.

We only support our own distributions for Windows and OSX
plus JCFP's Ubuntu/Debian distribution.

Are you trying with SSL? If so, try without it.

I have the same problem.  I updated my Synology Ds410j with the lastest firmware and I have tried to install the new version of Sabnzbd 0.5 but it doesn't work.
When I insert my usenet settings, I have this message : 'NoneType' object is unsubscriptable if I want to test it.
I've tried a few time to just continue the setup, and it does complete, but when I then try to access sabnzb I get the wizard again too.

Help help help :)

I have just found a solution...
You need to put the ip adress of your usenet server and not the DNS name.
Test connection successful and sabnzbd working :)

So the DNS on your NAS isn't working.
And you don't think that's a problem?  ???
