Sabnzbd suddenly not starting

Hello,

I have been using this program for over a month now and it was working perfectly untill yesterday. When I started up the PC it suddenly stopped running several programs, including Sabnzbd, Steam, Vipre antivirus and Java. I had to install Avast because I had no other firewall on my PC. Some people on the Steam forums who experencied similair problems suggested using Kaspersky Firewall and scan on heuratic level or something like that since that might find a virus. Problem is, Kaspersky will not install. Everytime I run the installer it just wants me to restart the PC, I have done that about five times now and it still will not install. The reason I am posting this on the sabnzbd board, is that this program is the only one that might have a usable error report. I have not yet tried reinstalling Sab, but I did reinstall Steam to no avail. Java started working after a reinstall, but I am looking for a way that fixes all the problems. Steam still did not function after a reinstall and Kaspersky is clearly running into issues as well. The only thing I did the day before this all started was play some games through Steam and install SIW to see what hardware I had. I removed SIW but that did not fix the issue.

My PC:
Vista 32bit Service Pack 2
Nvidia 8800GTS 320mb
Intel Q6600 (2.4Ghz x 4)
2GB Ram

Here is the SABnzbd.exe.log:

I can remember that at Thread-5 (most likely raised during interpreter shutdown) it said something else earlier. I will try starting it again a couple of times to see if the log changes.

Save the sabnzbd.ini file.
Remove SABnzbd completely using the un-installer, including all setting, cache etc.
Re-install it.
Copy the sabnzbd.ini file to its original location.
Start SABnzbd.

Given all your problems, shouldn't you just re-install your PC
from scratch?

I just fixed it.

I was preparing to just clear out the entire hard disk and reinstall Windows. When I plugged in my USB drive to back-up my save files Windows Media Player popped up, because it automatically wants to play the movies on the hard disk, and gave an error message. The program could not start because the date was 28-02-2050... I changed it back and now everything is working perfectly. Every single error I had is now gone. Thank god for irritating Media Player pop-ups I geuss. Now the only issue I have left is why Vista insists on changing the date.
