SABnzbd refuses to shut down.

I'm using 0.4.12 at the moment, but other(older) versions had the same problem. OS Ubuntu 9.10 x64 (installed from source, not the repository)
When I try to shut sabnzbd down, it hangs for a while but if I refresh the page it loads up like nothing has happened. Also, when I edit some settings and click the save button, the page freezes, but when I refresh the settings have been saved.

I hope someone can help me with this.

All those are caused by running 0.4.x with python 2.6. That 1) doesn't work, and 2) isn't supported by the devs. The simple way to avoid such issues is to start using the repositories.
