i'd like to have sabnzb put my dloads in 2 folders 1 on :K:\video for movies , and one on : K:\audiobooks; in "Folder configuration"i have :" Completed Download Folder:"downloads/complete
In "User-defined categories"i tested dl some music, , choosing:" category music" , folder: K:\audiobooks , but it still goes to : "C:\Users\*****\Documents\downloads\complete\
Are "User-defined categories" only for nzb's from Newsbin ? i get my nzb from easynews.com.
Thank you in advance

For newzbin they are determined automatically.
For other sites you need to set the category manually.
There are various ways to do that, see the Wiki.

Thanks, i read the wiki, the example shown has under the category "music " a script : "audio-check.cmd "; i looked for this script and couldn't find it ,so i was wondering if i can achieve what i want without a script.
In the wiki , under "categories"it says: "•The user-script to execute after the download (script defined in [configure-directories config>folders]).The wiki is very good ,but the part "User Scripts "is not very helpful to the uninitiated.

The main purpose of categories is to add attributes to jobs,
like final destination, post-processing, priority.
One attribute is the user script.
You don't have to use user scripts to benefit from the category system.
The scripts are meant for skilled users who know how to implement such things.
Most people don't need them, some use ready-made script by others.
(See "Post-Processing Scripts" board).

Ok,thank you for your explanation ;would someone be so kind to give me advice ,an example maybe, how to achieve this : "i'd like to have sabnzb put my dloads in 2 folders 1 on :K:\video for movies , and one on : K:\audiobooks; and name the subfolder after the title "
Thank you in advance

Create two categories in Config->Server.
(Maybe you should delete all current categories, if you don't have a newzbin account).
movies, where you set the download folder to k:\movies
audio, where you set the download folder to k:\audiobooks.
Now when you enter an NZB in SABnzbd, set the category to "audio" or "video".
When you have a Watched Folder, you can create subfolders "audio" and "video".
That way, if drop an NZB in watched-foldes\audio it will get category "audio".

Thank you for helping me out ;i created categorie "audio " folder : K:\audiobooks , i generate an nzb on the easynews web interface , it gets saved to d:/download , this is the "watched "folder ;i go to sabnzbd web interface, click on the nzb and edit the categorie in "audio" now the files go to "K:\audiobooks" , so this works good.
Only thing is : instead of creatind a dir like:" James A. Michener - Chesapeake" the dir has the nzb name, i looked at all the switches and couldn't find one to change this.

Click on the NZB title in the queue.
You'll get a new page where you can modify the title (and other things).

Yes i'd seen that , but it is extra steps ,Newsleecher makes a dir with the subjectname , the nzb name is not used, i guess this is not possible in Sabnzbd...........

If you see the crap present in many article subjects you may have second thoughts.
But if newsleecher makes you happier
