Today I installed Win 7 Home Premium x64 on my machine and I thought as long as I am busy reinstalling everything I need, why not try SABnzbd instead of Grabit. Atm I am not very happy with that decission for I get this message:
Firefox can't establish a connection to the server at localhost:7777.
As you probably can guess, I tried a couple of different ports via the SABnzbd.exe -s localhost:xxxx command.

What else did I do? Obviously I gave SABnzbd 0.5.0 permission to use the internet in MCAfee. Then I tried to open port 7777 in my Thomson ST706, although I do not think this is necessary. it didnt help anyway. What did I forget?

First remove port 7777 from the router, no use running a risk with this.
You probably also have to tell McAfee that SABnzbd is allowed to open a webserver on localhost:7777

To be on the safe side you could try this:
SABnzbd.exe -s 127.0.0.1:7777

Some systems do strange things when confronted with localhost (because it can resolve to an IPV4 or an IPV6 address).

You're a wizard! (Pun intended ;D)

On to the next step!

edit: Which went very well! I was downloading in no time, all I have to do now is to tweak the settings according to my wishes. Pretty nifty piece of software on first sight if you ask me:)
