Suo,

I've just come over from Alt-Binz so still trying to adjust.  Have a few questions.

Having problems trying to copy the URL of the NZB from bintube.  ERROR [sabnzbd.misc] Error getting url.  Not sure if I should just be copy & pasting the normal URL or what...

Can I set SABnzbd to delete the nzb after completion of the download?  Like how it can clean up the .rars and stuff?

What is the API Key?

The top left shows SABnzbd+ 0.4.12, I DL'd the latest 0.5.0 RC6 version.  What's up with that?

I don't need to have my web-browser open whenever I'm DLing something do I?  Is there any way to check the download without loading the browser?

This message is shown in the warnings - 2010-02-18 15:12:17,058 ERROR Permissions (None) not correct, use OCTAL notation!

Sorry for all the questions, away to have another read through the wiki.

Cheers :)

SABnzbd doesn't support Bintube URLs. To use Bintube you'll have to generate an nzb and add the nzb manually to SABnzbd, save it to your dropbox, open it with SABnzbd (0.5.x only), or use one of various third-party tools to send the nzb to SABnzbd. See here on the wiki for details on all your options. Alternatively, get a better usenet indexer, there's a list here on the wiki, and the nzbdstatus firefox extension integrates with most of them. (nzbs.org is highly recommended, it's free, easy to use, and again, works with nzbdstatus)

Config -> General -> Cleanup List, add ".nzb"

The API Key is our authentication method for third party applications. Basically, if you want to grant a third party tool (nzbdstatus, SABConnect, MyNZB, basically anything listed in the Addon Forum) access to your SABnzbd installation, you have to provide it with the unique key listed on Config -> General. It's just a security thing.

If the Web UI says 0.4.12, then you're running 0.4.12. Shut down SABnzbd and make sure you installed 0.5.0RC6 from here.

No, SABnzbd doesn't need a browser open to work. Check the third party addons forum I linked to above for stuff that shows the state of your queue.

Edit:

This confirms that you're running 0.4.12 and not 0.5.0RC6. That's a known harmless bug in 0.4.12. You can either ignore it or upgrade to 0.5.
