Queue Disappeared

Hey All,

This isn't really a question or a complaint it probably falls more into the category bug report. But anyways...

I was running a pretty large queue (> 500) for sure. I was running the plush user interface and during the last few days I had noticed that the items in the history didn't seem to completely finish as the animations next to the supposedly finished items persisted. I said, "ah, whatever, I'm approaching exams, I will deal with them later." Then, recently I noticed that the entire history and queue had disappeared!

The following line in the sabnzbd.log file may have correlated with the event
ERROR::[sabnzbd] Loading /home/public/.sabnzbd/cache/queue7.sab failed
Also, the last completed download in the completed folder occurred a few days ago, when in fact several should have finished per day.

It is a little upsetting that this has happened, but, nothing too major. I'm not even really looking to fix the problem as I am planning on reinstalling the OS over the holidays but I wanted to point the event out to the community/developers/whoever, and in the case that there is a really simple fix possibly restore the queue.

I can also supply further information if anyone is interested.

That is all :)

We have had some reports on queue problems.
How do you close your SABnzbd sessions?
There certainly could be bugs in SABnzbd causing issues with very large queues.
It has our attention for future releases.

Closing the session occurs when I issue 'shutdown -r now'. Maybe once every 10 days or so.

And on the rare occasion power failure (not recently).

Also, I'm running Ubuntu Server 9.04

The trouble that SABnzbd doesn't get a proper termination signal and cannot save its administration.
Do you start and stop it as a service (daemon)?
This is an example from the Wiki, illustrating what I mean: http://sabnzbd.wikidot.com/install-as-a-unix-daemon

I set up using the ubuntu repositories. And I know that /etc/init.d/sabnzbdplus does exist. And it starts up automatically when the computer boots. So, yes I believe so.

Then I'll consider it a reminder of the fact that
we need to start with a queue redesign.
(It was already on the roadmap).

Cool, I hope it helps :)

Great program though, nothing else like it, and very useful!

Thanks for all the good work!
