Very new to SAB and I spent hours last night going through countless threads in search for a fix to no avail. Anyways this is the message I'm getting everyime I try to open a nzb file off nzbmatrix:

SABnzbd needs a free tcp/ip port for its internal web server.
Port 8081 on localhost was tried , but it is not available.
Some other software uses the port or SABnzbd is already running.

Please restart SABnzbd with a different port number.

I've already forwarded my ports with the local ip address, I even turned off the whole Kaspersky in case there was a firewall problem, still doesn't work.

Version: (0.4.1.2 Final)
OS: (Windows 7 Ultimate x32)
Install-type: (Windows Installer)
Skin (if applicable): (Default)
Firewall Software: (Kaspersky Internet Security)
Are you using IPV6? (most likely no)
Is the issue reproducible? (yes)

pair of dimes, I think you're right. What I've been doing to open up SABnzbd is clicking on the shortcut icon everytime, hence the reason why its popping up with those messages, since you've mentioned that sabnzbd is probably already running. I added the firefox addon and since have bookmarked it. Also I didn't know abouthe watched folder but that sounds like a reallly good idea! Was used to opening up .nzd files with altbinz so it was a lil bit easier in that aspect. Thanks for the help!
