Congratulations to all concerned.

Unbelievable when I think back to the first version I used (was about 1.2 iirc).

... but how many SABnzbd users? Could be less (I've downloaded all different versions of SAB) or more (SAB is included in Ubuntu)...

A way to find out: SAB phones home to check whether there's a newer version. That webserver can see the number of (IP addresses with) SABnzbd instances ...

We consider it very impolite to start collecting IP addresses, even for counting.

Release 0.4.12 was downloaded about 70.000 times.
My guess is that we have between 30.000 and 40.000 users.

I think it's fair to say it's higher than that, justifications:
1) Alternate download sources, like the official Ubuntu repositories, Assembla SVN, QNAP's custom builds, unofficial repositories for Debian, various other *nix distros (freebsd, etc).
2) People who have long-since switched to 0.5
3) People who are on an earlier build and are waiting for 0.5

I think we could easily have anywhere from 60,000 - 100,000 users out there.

congrats from me as well.  at first i was baffled when i installed sab but after using it for few hours , it has become must have app for me along with Plex and XBMC.
