Hi

I have 2 laptops, both running OS X, both running SABnzbd 0.4.12. Usenet server settings are identical on each.

Recently, on the one I usually use for downloading, everything I try to download fails, with the "Download failed - out of your server's retention" message. This is reproducible. However if I try the exact same .nzb file on my other laptop, it succeeds every time. Same news server settings, same network etc.

On the problem laptop, there are "_FAILED_showname" folders - however they're empty. There's plenty of free disk space on the machine in question.

Any suggestions as to what might be wrong? No configuration has changed that I'm aware of.

Do you have some options in config for par2 and nice ?
If yes, try to remove them.

Are you using 2 Mac Laptops ?

Yes both laptops are running OS X, the one I'm having problems with is running 10.5.8, the other 10.6.1. Neither have had any configuration changes recently; the problem has only reared its head in the last day or so.

Python version on the working machine is 2.6.1, on the problem machine is 2.5.1, again I don't think this has changed any time recently.

Would posting config files or logs be of any use? I'm happy to share anything I can.

Python version should not be an issue if you use SABnzbd binary app.
Send me your 2 sabnzbd.ini files by pm please, I'll try to look if I see something...

An update: rebooting the machine seems to have solved the problem, at least for now. If the situation re-occurs I'll post the configs and we'll take it from there.
