SABnzbd Stuck in Post-Processing / Repair Loop – Downloads Not Completing

Hello, mcdvoice

I’m having a serious issue where SABnzbd downloads but never actually completes them.

The download phase works fine, but once it reaches post-processing, it either gets stuck or keeps looping in repair/extract without finishing. Jobs just sit there indefinitely with no progress.

What I’ve tried:

Restarting SABnzbd and the system
Clearing and retrying downloads
Checking disk space and permissions
Updating to the latest version

Nothing has fixed it so far.

Expected: Downloads should fully complete after repair/extract
Actual: Stuck or looping at the final stage

Do you have any ideas about what might be causing this or how to fix it? This is blocking all downloads.

Max Martin

"post-processing"? The SAB internal stuff? Or a seperate script?

And:

In SABnzbd's upper right corner, click on the wrench symbol ("Status and interface options"), then click on first tab Status, click Test download 1GB. .... What is the result.

Yes. It's probably your database being corrupted.
Go to the location of your sabnzbd.ini, shutdown Sab, then delete history.db and restart Sab.
You'll loose your History, but it shouldn't be stuck anymore.

Thanks for the reply, it's helpful to me.

If this is a known problem: Can SABnzbd detect that itself? And give a message? Or even solve it (for example by using a backup history1.db)?
