Release 4.5.3 is blocked on Windows by Smart App Control, presumably because of an invalid certificate. I was able to reinstall 4.5.2 so I can keep running for now. Hopefully this won't prevent further updates as the only way to bypass Smart App Control is to turn it off forever.

We never had a certificate.
It just takes time for the executable to build reputation and then it gets trusted. Nothing we can do.

Ok, thanks for the update. I recently upgraded to a new PC and Windows 11. Apparently when Windows 11 is first installed Smart App Control defaults to an "evaluation mode" where it monitors your app usage. Then, based on some secret heuristic it decides to turn itself on. That's why I haven't noticed this issue before.

In any case, you were right. I waited a day and now SABnzbd is trusted.

I also can't get the 4.5.3 installer to start, so I can't update the program normally.

I've installed the portable version, and now version 4.5.3 runs fine.

There's nothing we can do but wait..

Running the latest Windows 11 here.
4.5.3. works without a problem.
