SABnzbd Can't Connect To Internet

I am presently running SABnzbd 4.4.1 on a Windows 10 system.
A few days ago SABnzbd stopped being able to connect to the internet. The last thing I did before the condition began was experiment with NordVPN's Program Kill Switch feature (prevent a program from running/accessing internet if VPN is not connected).
After noticing the condition, I rebooted and uninstall/reinstalled both SABnzbd and NordVPN. SABnzbd still cannot access the internet. When I attempt to configure usenet access, SABnzbd states the host address+port is invalid. I've tried several addresses and ports. The wrench screen states Connection Failed for IPv4 and DNS Lookup. I also receive an error whenever I start SAB TypeError: str, bytes or bytearray expected, not NoneType referencing several .py files. I'd post the text but I'm struggling with the New Users Can't Post Links restriction.
I've disabled Windows firewalls and my router/modem's firewalls as well (still running 3rd party antivirus). From all my researching, I don't understand what could be preventing internet connection that would persist through uninstall/reinstalls. I can provide any additional information.
