i don't get it, I am trying to configure and use scenenzbs com in my sabnzbd setup, but I am getting always an error. in settings I try to add the server and test the connection and I tried using my username with my original password, the api key from the profile, my mail as username etc. but it always denies the test. i get something like:

Server closed connection

what am I missing?

i am using sabnzbd inside a docker container on my small server

my config in server

host: "scenenzbs[.]com"

username: "someusername" (my original username from that site)

password: my original password or my api key, i don't know whats the correct password

ssl activated and everything else is default

Sounds like an indexer. You’re not trying to add it as a Usenet server, are you?

SceneNZBs.com is a (German) Usenet indexer. It helps you to automate tools like Sonarr, Radarr, Lidarr and other *arr-tools.
These *arr-tools are looking on one or more indexer(s) to search for TV-Shows, Movies and Music by name.
If found, they download the NZB from the Indexer and send the NZB to SABnzbd.
SABnzbd then connects to your Usenet-Provider.

There is no need to add an Indexer to SABnzbd.
You only add your Usenet-Provider(s) to SABnzbd.

pretty new to sabnzbd.

I installed it on my desktop with WIN10. After start it shows up with the wizzard. I am not able to get a connection to scenenzbs. Apparently I do not know the exact host name of that service. It says: Server address "...scenenzb(.)com/:563" is not valid.. Where did I go wrong? Any help please?

You need a newsserver. Like the one advertised in that wizard, and on sabnzbd frontpage
