Synology slow 100% disk usage

Hey everyone, first of all I'm an absolute beginner :).

I am facing some weird issues with SABnzbd on my Synology DS224+.
Whenever I'm downloading something in SABnzbd the disk usages jumps to 100% and everything on the NAS becomes very slow and nearly unusable.
Im using a single WD Red Plus drive in my NAS, might this be the issue?

Is there anything I could check or optimize?
Im very grateful for any Tipps!

Yes. In Config Switches, disable Direct Unpack and enable Pause queue during post processing.
That should help!
Or, add an ssd for your download folder to the NAS. Then it can unpack to the spinning drive only. That will help a lot.
SSD's are not so expensive anymore and you don't even need a really large one.

This definitely helped while downloading.
Today I realized something else.
My disk usage was again at 100% without sabnzbd downloading anything.
After stoping the sabnzbd in the docker container the usage dropped to about 10%.
Is there anything sabnzbd might do in the background that results in such high disk usage?

Do you have a Watched folder configured?
Or RSS feed?
